American Hazel - bare root

Foraged from highly-productive wild trees, grown from the largest nuts from those trees. 

Hardy shrub native to eastern North America. Adaptable to a wide range of conditions, and does well in poor soils where other things have a hard time. Can produce nuts in as little as three years. Great food value for humans, and excellent for ecology - small mammals enjoy the nuts, birds enjoy the catkins in winter, the leaves are nutritous for a number of herbivores, and the plant itself makes for good habitat and cover. Caging/protecting these while establishing is recommended to protect from deer and rabbits.
