Perennial clumping grass with beautiful foliage native to the Eastern and central US. 2' long leaves display hues from gray-blue, to red-bronze and lavender throughout the year. Flower stems emerge in September and can grow 4-8' tall. Tolerant of Deer, drought, erosion, and black walnut. Full sun. One of the "Big Four" grasses that make up the backbone of North American grasslands and prairies.
