Asimina triloba. North America's largest native fruit! Widely adaptable to a range of soils and sunlight, but is typically found in low-lying areas in the understory. Requires two individuals for cross pollination. Plant relatively close together (10-20 feet) for reliable pollination. These are seedlings of improved varieties. Paw Paws grow fairly true to type so these will likely produce above-average quality fruit for seedlings, but there will be variability among them. Paw Paws are an obligate host plant of the Zebra Swallowtail butterfly.
Ships in early March.
